- For any drug addict drug is more like his or her life nothing else matters to him or her. Addicts spend all fortune and money on drugs and at the end of the day they become bankrupt lose their sanity and complete faith. This is when the support and care of their family members and friends becomes essential. The Christian drug treatment program have sessions and therapies that includes the family members too because during the addiction period they have been through the struggle too. The program is more like a self-realization deal through which a recovering drug addict is provided with the reality of addiction and why they have had such changes in their behaviors.
- Since 1885, Helping Up Mission has been coming to the aid of Baltimore City’s poor and homeless. During the last half of the twentieth century, the Mission narrowed its focus to serving the spiritual and physical needs of the city’s men who were poor and homeless.
Yet, to really support these men, in the 1990’s, the Mission began a long-term residential Spiritual Recovery Program for men with drug and alcohol addiction. Today, our 12-month residential Spiritual Recovery Program set in a 12 Step therapeutic community is the centerpiece of Helping Up Mission’s efforts – focusing on the intellectual, physical, social and spiritual needs of every man we serve.
National Capital Area Teen Challenge – Capital Heights
- Teen Challenge has been a very active ministry in the Metropolitan areas of Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia and is well recognized by the community, court systems, local businesses, community groups and local churches. We have had the privilege of ministering to hundreds of men, spouses and families during the last 41 years. Teen Challenge has been here reaching out, offering hope and help to those who are hurting, and seeking freedom from lifestyles controlled by addictions.
- Teen Challenge is ideally positioned to serve the Baltimore community where many others do not have the reach or capacity. Our 14 month residential program is the most successful in the country. We are committed to regularly serving the poor and delivering those in bondage from life-controlling habits through the power of the Word of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
When we are at our lowest the process begins towards healing. Encourage your sister to call some of the places listed above. There are some good options for her.
My little sister says she is ready to go to rehab. She is broke and homeless. I don’t know if this is a place for her or not but if you can help her or direct me to a place that can. Please!!
