Sanitation facilities have been constructed at schools, with special emphasis on latrine and hygiene education. In addition, planning is underway for water resource development to provide for livestock and food crops.
- Locally, MWA is working with World Bank’s National Water and Sanitation Program and UNICEF’s WASH initiative to build the rural capacity for planning and systems management.

Initiatives include increased access to credit, environmental rehabilitation and improving community access to water, health care, education and training.
