Undergraduate Christian Ministry Scholarship for International Students 2012
- The International Scholarship is an “IMPACT” award. These funds are designed to assist students with high need who will have a positive impact on our community. It is highly competitive.
- All completed applicants are ranked, and the top three are awarded to meet their need.
- Characteristics in the ranking include but are not limited to: SAT/ACT score, anticipated major, country of origin, anticipated involvement on campus, leadership experience, athletics, connection to the University (alumni, church, etc.), and date of application completion.
- This is one of the ways we are intentional about developing a very diverse and impactful international student body, with 69 students from 25 countries. Beyond the top three we look at perhaps the next 15 or 20 and try to award as many as we can. For this reason, underestimating your own ability for funding can hurt your chances for this scholarship.
Azusa Pacific University -The Kern Center for Vocational Ministry Scholarship
- Is renewable (first year: $2,000, second year: $4,000, third year: $4,000 for a total scholarship of $10,000) and awarded to selected undergraduate students preparing to serve God in vocational pastoral ministry.
- Be preparing to serve as a vocational pastor in a church in the United States (priority given to students aspiring to be senior pastors).
- Be recommended by a church leader/pastor and a professor/teacher.
- has a limited number of partial tuition grants for international students with significant financial need. Preference is given to candidates who complete their application process by March 1 for study beginning with the fall semester in August. If you hope to qualify for financial aid, it is important that your file is complete by the date. These grants are need based, to qualify you and your parents or guardians should complete the Certification of Finances for International Students.
- Financial Aid Awards continue for the normal length of time required to complete a degree program, as long as the student remains in good standing academically and in compliance with Greenville College standards.
Undergraduate students are eligible for the following scholarships:
- Liberty Champion Scholarship
- First Year $1,000, Second Year $1,500, Third Year $2,500, and Fourth Year $3,000.
- Academic Achievement Scholarship–$0 to $4,000 yearly
- Academic Honors Scholarship–$3,750 yearly (SAT or ACT required of first-time students)
- Early Deposit Award–$0 to $1,000 the first year only
- All available scholarships for first-time students are awarded prior to arrival. There are no additional international scholarships available after arrival. The scholarship amount shown on your I-20 will not be adjusted after arrival during the first year.
- However, students who do well academically may be eligible for an Honors scholarship. This scholarship has very high requirements and students will have to take more challenging courses to retain it. Students may also try out for an athletic scholarship. Finally, students who are responsible may apply to be a Student Life Director or a Resident Assistant in their junior or senior year. Both of these positions come with scholarships.
- It is very important to note that scholarships do not increase after arrival. Students will need sponsorship for all four years!
- International Grant Application Form and International Grant Recommendation Form: The International Grant is an award given to International Students based on financial need, academic achievement and local church recommendation. The amounts range from $500 to $3,500. The Grant Recommendation must be filled out and submitted by a local church leader who is not related to you. Scholarships are awarded as long as funds are available.
- President’s Scholarship Application (Deadline: January 23): This is our largest ($12,500) and most competitive scholarship, awarded to full-time incoming freshmen (including International Students). Applicants must have a high school GPA of 3.85 and a SAT I score (Critical Reasoning and Math sub-tests only) of 1400 or ACT score of 32. International Students who have not taken the SAT may still apply. Renewable with a college GPA of 3.5. Not available for transfer or Spring students.
- Christian Ministry Dependent Grant Application: This $2,000 grant is given to students who have at least one parent employed in full time Christian Ministry. The grant application must be submitted with a copy of the organization’s doctrinal statement.
- Tuition Paid Policy makes Moody relatively affordable for International Students
- Moody is able to offer this affordable education by the generous donations from friends of the Institute. Many of the donations received by Moody are applied to maintaining the tuition-paid policy by directly paying the tuition expenses on behalf of each student. Effectively, this means that $17,500 is paid annually in tuition costs on behalf of each student by outside donors to Moody
- William & Joyce Angus Mission Scholarship – three scholarships will be given annually in order of priority to Asian students, international students, or American students planning to enter missionary service.
- Ron & Peg Juffer Education Scholarship – It is designed to assist American minorities or international students, with preference given to a student majoring in education.

OZARK CHRISTIAN COLLEGE – International Student Grant
- The grant is worth up to 16 hours of tuition applied directly to the current cost of the applicant’s tuition each semester. For example, if the tuition cost is $245.00 per credit hour, the applicant would receive $3920.00 credit toward the applicant’s tuition each semester or $7840.00 per academic year. the applicant must pay all other costs of the applicant’s education including all charges from the bookstore, library or business office before the grant can be applied to the applicant’s account.

- Alden and Georgetta Gannett Endowed Scholarship is for students called to Christian ministry and from families engaged in vocational ministry.
- Ralph and Glenna Dee Jones Endowed Scholarship Fund is for students who are called to Christian ministry, whether as full-time pastors or missionaries or as Christian lay leaders.
- Founders’ and Trustees’ Scholarship Fund honors the College’s inaugural leaders, particularly members of the Gordon Cecil Berry family.
- Additional scholarship opportunities for academic achievement, musical talent, leadership, and institutional work study are available.
- Undergraduate Admissions Office awards one international student scholarship each year. No separate application is required. Every international student applying for admission will automatically be considered for this scholarship; financial need will be a leading factor in the awarding of the scholarship.

As for me I completed High school last year and got 4 principle passes totaling to 19points unfortunately i could not be taken on our government sponsorship to the university to do law or any other course i had applied for. Though now I have applied for private sponsorship at Makerere university kampala for Journalism or education, i have no hope of making it since my parents are peasants who can not meet their daily needs. If there is some one out there who can come to make my dreams come true i will really be happy.
