Family:
- I am married to Monica Wambui Oriedo and we have three children; Mitchelle (9 years), Emmanuel (8 years) and Joshua (4 years).
Church Ministry:
- I joined full time church ministry in 1990 and trained for ordained ministry at the St. Paul’s University, Limuru, Kenya. I was ordained in 1996 in the Anglican Church of Kenya, where I served in various parished till 2002 when I was tasked with the coordination of the Theological Education by Extension (TEE) in the Anglican Church of Kenya. At the same time, in 2004, I became part of the Carlile College School of Theology as a teaching staff. Currently I am the senior pastor of Kahawa Sukari Baptist Church in Nairobi, Kenya.
Future Plans for Ministry:
- I have a passion for training and equiping Christian workers for ministry. Being an ecumenist, I would be in a position to carry out the training in any Biblical based institution. In order to realise this goal, I am seeking further studies in the Doctoral level (PhD) in either Biblical or Theological Studies. I am interested with studies at the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have started the application process. The estimated annual expenses without the family is $11,393 (with the family is $27,734). The amount is exclusive of the air fair and the registration process. I am looking for someone / people, an organization or an institution to partner with me for the tuition fees and living expenses. I intend to return to Kenya after training to continue with my ministry in Kenya.
