Dear Saints, Friends and Partners,
We send warm Christian greetings to you from People For Jesus Ministry – PFJM (formerly known as People For Jesus International Ministries). Great is the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth and He is greatly to be praised.
Many activities have been going on for regular Church daily, weekly and monthly programmes and projects. Some of the evangelistic activities are enlisted in the updates while many others are not. The Church works in communities with many poor orphans, widows, pupils, students, and people at risk who need our support but we thank God that we are able to help only a few of them with your partnership. OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN MINISTRY HAS BEEN DOING VERY WELL AND WE HOPE TO SEND THEM FOR A TOUR OF NAIROBI IN AUGUST 2013 AT A COST OF US$500.
APRIL 2013
1ST – 18TH APRIL 2013: INDIA MISSION TRIP; Pastor Tom left Narok Kenya for India on the evening of 31st March 2013 and spent the night in Nairobi to catch a plane the following morning on Monday 1st April 2013. The Qatar Airways management kept us at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport Nairobi for two more days. We were a team of four pastors from Kenya and the airline claimed that our tickets had problems. We slept on the floor at the airport for two days at our own expense. It was a terribly humiliating and confusing moment but God kept us focused on our mission to India. We finally flew on 3rd April and arrived in India on 4th April. Many other connecting flights for other team members from Kenyan and teams from other countries were greatly affected at very expensive costs plus changing of timelines of our mission activities.
Pastor Tom preached, evangelized and taught in New Delhi, Orissa (toughest Hindu stronghold in India), West Godavari district—Palakollu, and at Hyderabad. Many things happened. Many people came to the Lord Jesus Christ, many were healed, God delivered mny people from bondages, many believers were sharpened/empowered for ministry, unity among Indian pastors was realized among other wonderful things. Despite many challenges such as illness, flight re-bookings, etc, the India mission trip was successful. India has millions of idols and people truly worship them. The pastors there need encouragement, training, partnership/financial support, and more prayers. Our Kenyan team arrived back safely in Nairobi from India on the morning of 17th April and I finally arrived at Narok on 18th April 2013. We express our profound thanks to India pastors and leaders such as Bishop David Livingstone, Pastor Joshua Oradi, pastor Venugopalan, and many others who hosted us with great generosity. Thanks to sister Anita of Renewal Ministries Fellowship who sponsored most of the India mission trip. Thanks to all who supported us in many ways including financially and by prayers. Thanks to People For Jesus Ministry and my family for standing with me. I cannot forget the whole mission team members from different countries who worked tirelessly as we struggled to overcome great obstacles so that we shared the gospel of love with the Indians.

Camp books had to be printed, camp timetable made ready, camp speakers had to be informed in good time, all youth camp accomodation and food facilties plus teaching facilties had to be in place. Transport arrangements had to be well planned. Finally the first day of the camp arrived on 30th April 2013. The camp was held at our branch Church in the Maasai village of Olooltoto in Narok (16 kilometres away from Narok town). Pastor Tom (Camp Director), and pastor John Ole Tarkash (Deputy Camp Director) had very busy moments before, during and after the youth camp. The theme of the camp was ”TOTAL COMMITMENT TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST”. The youth camp was well attended by the youth and all the speakers made themselves available to speak on various kinds of topics that were under the camp theme. There were times for personal devotions, assimilation games, plenary teaching sessions, group Bible study, etc.

JUNE 2013
In June we had livestock and veterinary outreaches in which the livestock that we have given to poor communities had their livestock treated the second round. The treatment takes place six months after the livestock were bought and treated the first time. Livestock have increased in numbers. We also had our regular community health services going on as usual in the Maasai village of Oletukat.
We had two consecutive Sundays of Music talent show for upcoming gospel artists. Those were unforgetable Sundays when musicians sung special gospel songs and preached at the same time in the Sunday worship services.
Pastor Tom also had very serious chest infections for about three weeks. Thanks to all who prayed and offered support during those tough times to the family. We thank God that pastor Tom is recovering very well.
JUNE IS A CRUCIAL TIME FOR PFJM. IT IS NORMALLY THE TIME WE PREPARE FOR MISSIONS EMPHASIS MONTHS THAT BEGIN IN JUNE TILL THE END OF OCTOBER. WE MOBILZE THE BELIEVERS ALL OVER THE WORLD TO PARTICIPATE IN VARIOUS MISSIONS ACTIVITIES, PROGRAMMES AND PROJECTS. THE CHURCH RECEIVES TEAMS AND THE CHURCH ALSO SENDS SHORT-TERM MISSIONARY TEAMS.
PEOPLE FOR JESUS MINISTRY MISSION TEAM COUNCIL
- People For Jesus Ministry has a mission team or Mission Council that plans and implements local, regional and international missions programmes. That includes crusades, church planting, prayers and intercessory prayers, community evangelistic programmes and projects. The team also mobilizes, recruits, sends and support long-term and short-term missionaries to different parts of the world. The Mission Team also hosts volunteer missionaries from every part of the world. The Mission Council meets every month to pray, plan and implement Church mission programmes.
WIDOWS AND THE POOR PEOPLE’S PROJECTS NEED YOUR SUPPORT
PFJM has established a self-help project called ”Cluster Dynamics” which are designed to pull together groups of 5, 10 or 15 people from within a community group who are mutually in great need. The groups are tasked with developing a micro-project which will generate income for the group in order that they can support themselves and their families.
The groups mainly made up of destitute women, are poor for a number of reasons but mainly due to the tragedy of HIV/AIDS which affects each family in one way or another. Some suffer from the disease themselves, others as a result of losing their husband by HIV/AIDS. The result is that the remaining partner (usually wife and mother) is left to support a number of children. PFJM can help these groups get established by providing one time initial set up grant of £450, 900 and 1350 respectively, allowing them to get going with their project and bring in the much needed income that will grow the project and support the group and their dependants. PFJM will closely monitor the projects to ensure that they are profitable to the groups. You can invest in this worthy course that can profitably change lives of the poor widows and others for a life time. We Currently have the groups of 5, 10 and 15 ready to move with any support that comes to them.
